I have been with Luhrsen Law Group since its beginning. I am proud to be a family member as well as its Firm Administrator. Chief among the many reasons I enjoy working at Luhrsen Law Group is that we work to defend consumer’s legal rights in both the legal and legislative arenas. The best part of my job is all of the community organizations and events we support to educate the public rather than the typical billboard and bus stop advertising so many injury lawyers rely upon. We believe if we can prevent injuries from happening in the first place, we are all much better off.
As Firm Administrator, I ensure that our staff has all of the tools they need to provide the highest quality of service to our clients. Beyond that I work closely with Attorneys Jeff and Julie Luhrsen in all facets of our family-oriented business.
As Marketing Director, I utilize the funds typical auto injury firms use for bus stop ads, TV advertising and taxi cab ads asking to call us if your hurt and dedicate those funds to making a difference in our community. Our belief is if we educate to prevent injuries from happening and, then advocating for those who need us the most, we can and will make a lasting difference separating us from the stereotyped, injury law firms.
More About Me
I’m a Bradenton native and following graduation from Bayshore High School (top 10%), I served our country for seven years as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, U. S. Army. The variety of work, people and places I experienced on active duty were rewarding and my efforts were recognized with numerous awards and decorations (five Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement medals; two Meritorious Unit Awards; two General Letters of Commendation; twice selected as the Battalion Soldier of the Quarter; and Fort Benjamin Harrison’s 1995 Athlete of the Year).
My transition back to civilian life serendipitously brought me to Luhrsen Law Group. Though Jeff, Julie and I never served in the JAG Corps together, a close friend of Julie’s was my last boss in the Army. She introduced me to them, just as they were looking for someone to join their burgeoning law practice. Knowing that I worked side by side with Julie’s friend during an extraordinarily busy period of extreme sensitivity and public focus landed me the position.
In addition to my military service, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from St. Leo University. I am certified as an Accredited All-Claims Adjuster. I have also been active in the Florida Justice Association. I have done lobbying work in Tallahassee and in 2007 received the Association for Justice Award for excellence for volunteer lobbying work I did for MADD-Florida. Recently, I helped the Sarasota Coalition on Substance Abuse lobby its bill to change our Open House Party law further protecting our kids from being provided alcohol. Lastly, in November 2013, I was appointed as one of seven Planning Commissioners for Manatee Count by the Board of County Commissioners. In this capacity, I volunteer my time on this advisory board presiding over land development issues surrounding Manatee County.
Outside the Office
As rewarding as work is, my most important time is spent with my own family. My family and I enjoy time outside on Florida’s beautiful waters and beaches. Recently both my wife and son have picked up the game of golf, a game I enjoy, and like even more now that it’s a family pursuit. With my son now a member of the family fishing team, our success in recent tournaments has proven to be yet another enjoyable pursuit.
My civilian career has been exclusively devoted to helping individual consumers with their injury claims and insurance disputes. From our early days together sharing a single office, under Jeff’s guidance and tutelage, I have come to understand the intricacies and nuances of Florida insurance law, personal injury claims and bad faith issues. Throughout, its been both a professional privilege as well as personal pleasure to help our clients reach the best resolution possible.
